Boston's 100 Greatest Games
Boston's 100 Greatest Games by Rob Sneddon talks about the 100 greatest games in Boston sports. Boston certainly has some history with its 36 championships. The Celtics have 17, Red Sox have 8, Bruins have 6, and the Patriots have 5. It talks about the Patriots' Super Bowl victories, the Red Sox's incredible comeback in the 2004 ALCS against the New York Yankees. the Celtics' NBA best 17 championships, and the Bruins' triumphs. It summarizes each game mentioned and the signifigance of each game. This is a really good book if you're a sports fan because you read about what you like and you learn some history. It's also a good book if you want to relive that memory of watching a specific game.

A book of suspense, drama, and thrill that will leave you on the edge of your seat. Number one New York Times bestselling author John Sanford and Michele Cook join together to write and amazing story about teenagers that must work together to expose an experimental science lab of the testing that they are doing on animals.
We are immediately immersed in a suspenseful break into the high security lab facility by a young boy named Odin and several other teenage kids to set free the animals facing cruel unusual lab experimenting and once the break in is complete Odin is on the run and his sister is brought into the thriller on the search for her brother.
For those who enjoy a breath taking, suspenseful story and who enjoy a relatable storyline, this is the book for them. right off the bat i had connected with the sister of Odin because i can see myself in her shoes as she goes out on the search for her bother. Him being the only "family" she has left. As readers its good to relate to a character of the book as a way to have a deeper connection with the novel. But by no means does that infer that the reader won't enjoy a good read even if any of the characters aren't relatable. i would recommend this book to people of all ages who like thrillers and adventures that are enjoyable.

The Borden Murders "Lizzie Borden and the trial of the century"
By: Sara Miller
" Lizzie Borden took an axe, gave her mother forty whacks. When she saw what she had done, she gave her father fourth one." One of the most notorious cases in American history, The Borden Murders By: Sarah Miller is a book depicting what happened the day Andrew Borden and Abby Borden where found brutally murdered. The date was August 4th, 1892 when everyone heard a frantic Lizzie Borden who stumbled upon a murdered mother and father. once the police showed up they started investigating immediately. They saw that Andrew and Abby were struck in the head with an object multiple times. Then they saw Andrews axe was missing in the shed, that when questions started flowing. Andrew and Abby were liked people around the community so there was no motive for someone to randomly attack them. So heads turned to inside the house, who would do this? who has a strong enough motive to do such a thing. If you read Sarah millers book your mind will be twisted to weather you believe Lizzie did it or not. The evidence tells nothing that proves Lizzie did it yet her actions and attitude make the police suspect somethings up "Her actions were not lady like" the police said. She was relatively calm and too blank to go unnoticed by the police, especially after both her parents were brutally murdered. Even though I have not read past her testimony to know if she is found guilty or not. What i do know is that its a very graphic book that doesn't hold back the details found on that shocking day. Its not for the weak stomached audience. Its for the suspense seeking audience that want to solve mysteries themselves and like to finish a book with there own opinion to who did the crime. I highly recommend this book and suggest it even more in the month of October.

Slow Getting Up

There is adversity to overcome in this world whether it be at your workplace or even somewhere as simple as the gridiron. Nate Jackson takes us through his story of his life overcoming adversity as a football player.
Jackson started his career at a small D3 school, was signed by the 49ers to shortly be given up to the Denver Broncos where he spent 6 years of his life. Throughout his NFL career he had gone back and fourth between the practice squad, to the actual roster but always seemed to be interfered with because of the injured reserve where it is apparent he spent an abundant amount of time.
Every chapter Jackson describes how his life is like so many in the NFL but those who overcome will eventually prosper.
This book starts out very intriguing and really grabbed my attention but it slowly started to diminish. The same point can only be made so many times. It eventually just turned into a rave about how his injuries were so preventing and how that was the reason he isn't starting or he isn't where he wants to be because of some other reason. These just seem like poor excuses for not doing what he had to do to begin with. I would recommend this to someone who does not appreciate sports because it will give you more points on why you feel this way.

Fake ID

Fake ID
By Lamar Giles
Have you ever wondered what it mus be like to be in hiding for almost all your life, and having the constant fear that if you have one slip up it could lead to your ultimate downfall. Fake ID covers the premises of this idea with a teenager in hiding, with his mom and dad, from a wanted crime lord.
Fake ID is fictional story which has a teenager, Tony or known by many other names, as the main character. He has had the bad luck of being integrated in WIT SEC because his father was working with wanted criminal, Kreso. WIT SEC is the United States Federal Wittiness Protection Program. Tony's dad ends up willing to confess against his boss Kreso, leading to him going into hiding causing a constant danger to Tony's family. Due to danger of Kerso finding them and Tony's dad almost revealing their hidden personas, they have had to move and change way of life multiple times. Thus Tony hasn't grown up in the best of way considering the constant dramatic changes.
Fake ID's author, Lamar Giles, in my opinion did a good job while writing the book. Throughout reading Lamar's great writing techniques kept me wanting to read. For example, Lamar adds little bits of comedy to keep the readers attention in the book. comedic comments such as "I stayed there until the sun went down, then fell asleep with a rapper shouting at me" (pg 24). These comedic comments make the feeling of the book seem more normal. In essence something a reader can connect to. Yet he doesn't add too much hiding the fact of how serious some situation are. Lamar also does a great job revealing information at a good pace. For example Lamar reveals the facts of "Something wrong with Stepton" (pg 59) at slow pace which makes the readers want to read more. This way a reader wants to continue reading to find out what happens yet doesn't feeling the story builds at too slow of a pace. I strongly recommend the book for many people. If you like mystery esc story's Fake ID is perfect. The book is well written and isn't too east or too hard to read. In conclusion Fake ID is an all round great book and should be on many peoples' list.
